Houses in Denton County

Air conditioning, heating, ducts and ventilation — measured before they are quoted, and written down afterwards so the next visit starts from a record.

01

Air conditioning is the whole year here

In Denton the cooling season is long, hard and unforgiving, and it finds every weakness in a system by the second week of July. Most of the work we do between May and September is not repairing broken equipment — it is finding out why working equipment is not delivering.

  • ServiceCoil condition, refrigerant behaviour, electrical draw, airflow and the condensate route, measured and written up.
  • RepairDiagnosed with instruments and priced in writing. Common parts are on the van; anything else gets a timescale rather than a shrug.
  • ReplacementSized from the house with a load calculation, and quoted with whatever the ducts need included in the price.

Heating, and the two calls that go elsewhere first

North Texas heating is a handful of hard weeks and a long quiet season, which is exactly why furnaces here fail on the first genuinely cold night — nothing has run since March and nobody has looked at it.

We check burners, the heat exchanger, the flue, gas pressure, the safeties and the airflow across the exchanger, and we write down what we found. An annual heating check here is worth more than it looks, because it happens when a fault is still an inconvenience.

Do not call us first for these

  • A carbon monoxide alarm soundingEverybody out of the house, then call 911 or the gas utility from outside. Do not go back in to open windows.
  • A smell of gasThe same. Leave the appliance alone, get out, ring from outside.

Once it has been made safe we will come and find out what caused it.

The attic decides how the house feels

Almost every house here delivers its cooling through an attic that is far hotter than the air being pushed through it. Leaking joints, crushed runs, insulation that has slipped and branches that were never properly supported all take their cut before the air reaches a room.

We measure at the registers before and after, so the work has a figure attached rather than a promise — and so you can see whether it bought you anything.

Questions people ask first

Why is upstairs always hotter than downstairs?

Two things at once: warm air rises up the stairwell and collects upstairs, and the ducts feeding that floor run through an attic far hotter than the air inside them. The house section page walks through which of the two your house has.

Would a bigger system fix it?

Usually not, and often it makes things worse. A larger system fitted to the same duct work cannot move the extra air it makes, and it satisfies the thermostat in short bursts that never dry the house out.

Do you carry parts?

Common ones — capacitors, contactors, igniters, flame sensors, float switches and filters. Anything else is ordered and you get a timescale rather than an open question.

Will you quote a replacement on the first visit?

Not as a reflex. If a system has years left we will say so in writing with what to budget. When replacement is right we size it from a load calculation rather than from the old nameplate.

Do you work on commercial premises?

Yes — suites, clinics, studios, shops and workshops, with planned service and a written record per unit.

Which areas do you cover?

Denton, Corinth, Argyle, Sanger, Krum, Aubrey and Lake Dallas.
